We Salute You, Mr. Erdogan

Mr Peres, you are older than me. Your voice is too loud,” Erdogan told Peres, saying his emotion belied a guilty conscience.
You kill people,” Erdogan told the 85-year-old Israeli leader. “I remember the children who died on beaches. I remember two former prime ministers who said they felt very happy when they were able to enter Palestine on tanks.
When Erdogan was asked to stop, he angrily stalked off, leaving fellow panellists UN Secretary-General Ban-Ki moon and Arab League Secretary Amr Moussa.
When it comes to killing, you know it too well,” the Turkish leader said.
When the moderator tried to cut short Erdogan’s remarks, saying it was past time to adjourn for dinner, he answered in frustration, “Don’t interrupt me. You are not allowing me to speak.”
He then said: “I will not come to Davos again.” ..MORE

Turkish PM storms out of Gaza debate with Israeli president

DAVOS, Switzerland (AFP) – Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday stormed out of an angry debate at the Davos forum on the Gaza war with Israel's President Shimon Peres.
"I do not think I will be coming back to Davos after this because you do not let me speak," the Islamist-rooted prime minister shouted before marching off the stage in front of Peres, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and an elite audience of ministers and international officials at the World Economic Forum.
Erdogan criticised the audience for applauding Peres' emotional defence of Israel's war in Gaza, before the moderator, Washington Post journalist David Ignatius, insisted that the debate had gone overtime.
He said Israel had carried out "barbarian" actions in Gaza. ..MORE

--------------

What happened in Davos is something that the Ummah will cherish for a very long time. Enough is enough of all this crazy war and brutal killings. And Israel government must be made known of all these nonsense. Gaza is 'an open prison'. And the West will ensure that Gazans will stay like that forever, otherwise Israel will perish!? We salute you PM Erdogan.

Spurs to end Keane's Anfield misery

Robbie Keane is on the verge of a £15million return to Tottenham after being ditched by Rafael Benitez for Liverpool's most important game of the season against Chelsea today.
Benitez, who has also won important contract concessions from the club's American owners, Tom Hicks and George Gillett, effectively ended Keane's six-month Anfield career yesterday when he left the mercurial striker out of his squad to face Luiz Felipe Scolari's side.
Liverpool must win today if they are to stay in the race for their first League title since 1990. But the omission of Keane, 28, prompted Spurs manager Harry Redknapp, reeling from the loss of Jermain Defoe for several weeks with a foot injury, to move fast to secure the Irishman as a replacement.

Keane, the Republic of Ireland captain, scored 107 goals for the White Hart Lane club between 2002-2008 and although he upset some fans with the manner of his departure for Anfield last July, most are likely to welcome him back.
Spurs, lying 14th after a 3-2 defeat at Bolton yesterday, are unwilling to repay the full £20.3m they received from Liverpool, but the clubs are likely to agree a fee before Monday's 5pm transfer deadline.
The departure of Keane from Anfield is a significant victory for Benitez in the power battle that has threatened to derail Liverpool's title ambitions this season. Benitez was unhappy that Liverpool paid the full blocking his £18m move for Aston Villa's England midfielder Gareth Barry.
Keane has scored only seven goals in 28 games for Liverpool and publicly showed dissent whenever substituted by Benitez, whose preferred attack is Fernando Torres, supported by Steven Gerrard. .. MORE

-----------------------

Welcome home Robby Keane! You should not have left Spurs for Liverpool. With due respect to Liverpool, Benitez and Gerrard, you dont belong to the Kops. You are a Spurs and you know that.

Talking about Spurs, I dont know why Redknapp took so long in finding a replacement for Gomez. Spurs need a good goalkeeper and another one or two more good defenders, then only can Spurs ascend to the tpo four. Anyway, I think, they are going to win the carling cup. Watch out you Red Devils!

Rice anyone?!!

Condoleezza Rice is now looking for love

From Daily Mail UK Online,

Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has revealed she's looking for love.
With masses of free time suddenly on her hands, President Bush's former ally says she plans to focus more on finding romance.
Like so many women in high-flying careers, Ms Rice found herself having to choose between her personal life and her demanding role as Bush's right-hand woman.
For four years, her personal life had to come a distant second - but she is now ready to concentrate on herself.

Ms Rice, 54, has visited 84 countries and travelled a million miles over the years - never once pausing to concentrate on that special someone.
But that could all change as she takes a step back and returns to lecturing students at Stanford University, in California.
Appearing on U.S. morning chat show The View, hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, she said: 'People say you work so hard and you've dedicated so much to your career that you're really shorting your personal life, but the truth of the matter is that I've never found anyone I wanted to marry.
'It doesn't mean I won't, but I didn't - yet.' .. MORE
------------------------------
Kesian. The price that one has to pay in pursue of one's ambition ( for Rice.., it was national duty!). Anyway, wishing Rice all the best.
